Definition of WACCWACC Weighted average cost of capital. WACC is the average return expected by shareholders and lenders, taking into account the funding mix. E.g. if a company is funded half by equity at an opportunity cost of 10% and half by debt at 5%, the weighted average cost of capital would be 7.5% (half of 10 plus half of 5).
